  • Technology

    • How many units do I need

Our units have been designed to fit all types of indoor areas, both for commercial settings and for the home. Our calculator will help you find how many units you need according to the dimensions of your indoor space.

    • What type of filters does the unit use?

MedicAir units are equipped with HEPA and activated carbon filters for maximum effectiveness. The MedicAir Pro Mini contains a HEPA H-14 filter with anti-microbial coating, while the MedicAir Pro and Max contain a HEPA H-13 filter with an impressive surface area of 6.7m². These HEPA filters are able to remove up to 99.97% of particulate matter above 0.3microns. All units also contain medical-grade activated carbon filters which are highly effective against odours and other gas and chemical pollutants. An internal UV light adds an additional layer of protection, eliminating the smaller particles trapped by the other filters.

    • How big an area does one unit cover?

MedicAir units have been designed to suit different indoor environments. The MedicAir Pro Mini is ideal for homes and smaller spaces and is capable of purifying 400 cubic metres of air per hour. The MedicAir Pro can purify 605 cubic meters of air per hour while the MedicAir Pro Max is best suited for commercial properties and is able to purify up to 1500 cubic meters of air per hour. You can work out which unit you need and how many by using our handy calculator.

  • Installation

    • How do I connect the app?

Download the ‘MedicAir®’ app from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play store. Once in the app you will be prompted to enter an email to set up an account. Enter your chosen email. You will receive an email with a confirmation code – find this and then enter it when prompted on the MedicAir® app.

You are now within the MedicAir® app.

Click the + logo in the top right of the screen to add a new device. Your app should default to ‘Add Manually’. In the main body of the screen should be an ‘Air Purifier’ option – select this. You will be prompted to enter your wifi passcode – enter this and press NEXT
At this stage you should avert your attention to the MedicAir® Air Purifier Unit. Along the bottom of the screen are 5 buttons- lightly tap the middle one (power button) and turn off the machine. Wait for 2 seconds. Again tap this button to re-boot the unit. Wait for the whole screen to stop flashing (15-20 seconds).

Press and hold (tor 4 seconds) the ReAKT button (positioned second from the left in the row of 5 icons on screen).
The wifi logo should then begin flashing rapidly on your MedicAir® screen. At this point avert your attention back to the App and tick the box to confirm ‘indicator blinking rapidly’. Press NEXT.

Wait whilst your unit connects. You do not need to interfere with this stage – let the unit do the work.

Occasionally if your office Wi-fi is inundated by multiple and other devices, our unit might fail to connect on the first try. If this happens, please try the following:
The best way to mitigate this issue is to change the Wi-fi you are using.
Complete the process (from the step 5-11 again) but this time use a ‘personal hotspot’ Wi-fi.
Your unit should then connect without problems.

    • How do I install MedicAir?

MedicAir is a plug in and play unit and has been specifically designed to be as easy as possible to use; as a matter of fact it requires no expensive installation. To install:

Remove the unit from the box, plug the power cable into the unit and a power socket, simply press the illuminated power button on the display panel on the top of the unit.

    • Is MedicAir a free-standing unit?

Yes, the MedicAir air purifier is a completely freestanding unit.

  • Maintenance

    • How do I change the filter?

    • How often do I need to change the filter?

Your MedicAir filter has a life expectancy of between 6 and 12 months. Your MedicAir unit is constantly scanning the life of your filter and will notify you when there is only 10% filter life left by flashing red. The life span of your filter will depend on the air quality and length of use. If you subscribe to our filter replacement service, we will automatically send you a new filter when yours needs replacing at a third of the price.

    • Does the unit need any maintenance?

The MedicAir unit itself requires no specific maintenance. The only ongoing requirement is the need to change the filter cartridge and UVC bulb, roughly every nine months.
